Whisk is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. It’s a great opportunity to look back at where it all began, but above all to reflect on where we are today. What once began at a kitchen table has grown into an events agency that not only raises a brand’s profile, but also brings it to life.
Because at Whisk, it’s never just about events you attend. It’s about experiences you feel, remember and become part of.
Genius or crazy?
Whisk came into being at a time when the world had come to a standstill. The events sector was on hold, plans were postponed, and meeting in person was anything but a given.
Just at that moment, Jelle and Evita decided to look to the future.
In 2021, the newspaper ‘Het Nieuwsblad’ asked: was it genius or just madness to set up an events agency at that time? Five years on, the answer feels clearer than ever. Perhaps it was both. A touch of madness, but above all, a great deal of conviction.
Because whilst others saw mainly stagnation, we saw opportunity. An opportunity to build, to create and to establish our own vision for live events and live marketing.
For us, an event is never just a one-off occasion. It forms part of a wider marketing strategy. It’s a way of bringing a brand to life, bringing people together and bringing a message to life.
That, for us, is what live marketing is all about: consciously using events as a brand experience. It’s not just about thinking about what happens on the day itself, but also about how that moment contributes to brand perception, recognition and connection. From concept to flow, from atmosphere to detail. Everything must align with the brand, the target audience and the story you want to tell.
Because a good event is well organised. A powerful live moment leaves a lasting impression.
What began in Belgium has since spread far beyond the country’s borders. From BMW Motorrad to Atlas Copco. From Sweden to Rome, Lake Annecy and Marrakech.
Every venue, every brand and every audience has its own specific requirements. Yet the approach remains recognisable: smoothly organised, creatively executed and with an eye for atmosphere, rhythm and detail.
Because whether it’s a product launch, a brand experience, a corporate event or an international incentive: every project is driven by the same ambition. To create an experience for every client that is tailored to the brand, the audience and the objectives.
Today, Whisk is no longer sitting at that kitchen table, but resting on the shoulders of 14 Whiskers.
Creative and Event Whiskers, each bringing their own expertise to the table. Different personalities, different talents, but all sharing the same drive: to refine ideas, push boundaries and tackle every project with ambition.
That’s what makes Whisk. Not just the work, but the energy behind it too.
Over the past five years, there have been many moments that have earned their place in the Whisk story.
